Nursing Homes
As part of our Medicare Quality Improvement Organization contract, Qualis Health helps Idaho and Washington nursing homes:
- Reduce the use of physical restraints
- Lower the incidence of pressure ulcers
- Join forces with other healthcare organizations within their community to improve care transitions and reduce rehospitalizations. Learn more about our current work in local communities and see our archive of "Safer Handover" trainings.
- Respond to requests from Medicare (particularly related to beneficiary complaints or appeals).
Nursing homes are required to give advance notice to Medicare beneficiaries and members of Medicare Advantage plans before the care is terminated, and to inform them of their right to request an appeal. (Please help us keep our appeals-related contacts up to date.)
