Surgical Care Improvement Program (SCIP)
Recently, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) discontinued the nationwide SCIP listserv. Qualis Health managed the first surgical infection-focused national collaborative in 2002 and has worked on SCIP-related topics at a local level ever since.
We are pleased that a replacement resource has emerged. Dr. Dale Bratzler has started a "Hospital Quality Share" Google Group focused on SCIP-related topics.
