About the stimulus package The American Recovery & Reinvestment Act stimulus package included provisions for the Health Information Technology for Economic and Clinical Health (HITECH) Act.
HITECH designates billions of dollars to incentivize healthcare providers to implement and meaningfully use EHRs in their practices.
